In Texas, a woman was found dead, beaten in the wardrobe in her bedroom, after allegedly falling victim to the rage of her boyfriend, with whom she had been in a relationship for 6 years. Dallas police received a call a week ago, notifying them of a crime that had taken place in an apartment in the city. The crew that arrived at the scene identified Omar Lucio, 34, at the address, who, however, refused to open the door. It was only after 2 hours that he was convinced to come out and was immediately arrested, according to People. Inside the apartment, police found Corinna Johnson's dead body, hidden in a wardrobe. Lucio was charged with murder and was incarcerated. The man is also being investigated in other cases, for illegal races and an accident that left several people with serious injuries. The bail was set at $ 1.585 million. Although Dallas police did not disclose the name of the victim, the woman's family identified her on a GoFundMe page as Corinna Johnson. Her sister, Érica Hernandez, said her death was caused by "domestic violence." Family members told local media that the woman had a 7-year-old child and had been with Lucio for six years. Corinna's aunt, Kathy Gareau, said, "I always warned her that she shouldn't be with him anymore, that he would hurt her, he would kill her." Once inside the apartment, police followed a trail of blood from the front door to the bathroom and then to a wardrobe in the bedroom, where they found Corinna wrapped in sheets. Investigators also found blood-stained clothes in Lucio's car. Police learned that on the night of the murder, the couple was at a bar, from which they were thrown out after Lucio hit Corinna several times. At the police station, he admitted to attacking his girlfriend in the car until they got home. Most likely, he seriously injured her and, once they arrived home, he dragged her towards the entrance, then towards the bathroom. During the night, Lucio reportedly called a woman - whose identity is unknown - and asked her to come to the apartment. The woman later called the police and reported the crime, but this only happened after 24 hours. At the police station, this woman said that on the evening she was at the couple's apartment, she found Corinna badly injured, seemingly dead.
