Potrivit techcrunch.com, noul MacBook Neo de la Apple nu este doar cel mai accesibil MacBook de până acum, ci este și cel mai reparabil MacBook din „ultimii paisprezece ani”, conform unei analize detaliate realizate de site-ul de tutoriale iFixit. Principala noutate este bateria.

Deși bateriile mai vechi ale MacBook-urilor sunt în general lipite, bateria modelului Neo este fixată într-un suport asigurat cu 18 șuruburi. Deși este un număr considerabil de șuruburi, reprezentanții iFixit au declarat că „șuruburile sunt întotdeauna preferabile lipiciului”. De fapt, acest nou aranjament, care ar trebui să facă înlocuirea bateriei mult mai ușoară, a „provocat aplauze în biroul iFixit”.
